FORM 6 IS NOT AS HARD AS YOU THINK!!

I decided to write this for all the newbie form 6 students, just a little guide and overview of what you are going through for the rest 1 and 1/2 years~

Form 6= full of love and friendshipssss πŸ’•πŸ’•

Okay, first and foremost I want to clarify that Form 6 is not considered secondary form like form 5 and etc.. it is PRE-U level (similar to Matriculation, Foundation, A-Level)🀩 Bear in mind that among all the options Form 6 are the least expensive type :P (considered myself lucky)

However, most of the students who continue as form 6 MIGHT not due to their initial will, but it’s because they are out of choices. (Because im one of them) πŸ™ˆ
But i guarantee you, you will surely CHERISH AND MISS your life of Form 6 after you graduated!!

So stop blaming, keep trying!✌️πŸ’ͺ

What’s good about Form 6 anyway?

1. Small circle of friends, with stronger bonds among each other, fighting to reach the same goals together! πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

2. Teachers πŸ‘©‍🏫 will be more jaga jaga you allπŸ˜‚
Eg: xxx, study already? Left 70 days till Sem 2 exam liao!
Xxx, study already? Why u so busy with cocurriculum?! πŸ™ˆ
(Life examples based on personal experiences)πŸ˜‚

3. Form 6 has high standard in terms of the syllabus studied✅
- it is undeniably harder x 10 than form 5 spm...SPM will become easy to you when you become a Form 6 student (believe it or not! That’s what we all agree to)
- As compared to most of the Pre-U studies, we have more stuff to read, more detail explanation, cover more topics
- Don’t worry, it will certainly benefit you for your University Degree studies~ ~ (provided that you rmb them🧠🧠)
- It suits you to how University study life will be:
Being a student, its always our responsibility to understand what we are reading (no hafal okay!)

Many of them will ask:
what’s the tip to survive and score well in Form 6?
How do you arrange you timetable with so many subjects to read?

Here’s my answers for your inquiries:

  • PAYING ATTENTION IN CLASS πŸ“
Try to catch as much ideas as possible of what the teacher is explaining about. This can reduce your revising duration at home. Always revise the topics taught today (do not procrastinate! Things might get stacked up)

  • DONT BE SHY, ASK QUESTIONS πŸ“–
Dont left any doubts or questions unexplained. Always seek explanation from the teachers and make sure you understand fully what you are reading ~~

  • PRACTICE, PRACTICE, AND PRACTICE
For example, do more exercise questions for Maths T, Chemistry and other subjects. There’s no harm to always revisit back what you have understand by practising with some sample questions πŸ”

  • BE OPEN-MINDED AND SHOW INTEREST IN WHAT YOU ARE STUDYING
Don’t read just for the sake of reading / exams. This is what you choose, and it will be encountered in your future studies as well. So instead of worrying about how to study, why not just take it ss if you are learning new things? πŸ˜‰

  • JOIN MORE SOCIAL ACTIVITIES (IT’S NOT ALL ABOUT STUDYING)πŸ€πŸŽΌπŸŽΊπŸƒ‍♀️
Engage in the activities or co-curriculum you like, take part in various types of activities. This cam help you to identify what you are good at and what really suits you (may play an important role in helping you to decide your future studies courses!)
Don’t worry about not having enough time to study. As long as you use your time wisely, it wouldn’t be a big problem for you.

Last but not least, I wish all the newbies good luck and enjoy your life as a Form 6 students!
Choosing this path is not an easy decision... We are proud of you juniors!πŸ‘πŸ‘

Work hard and you can get what you dream for.”

    1. Hey there! I apologized for being replying late..
Hmm from my opinion, it is best to follow your heart, what u really want.
Just go after your dreams and you can work through this ;)
for example, u can always seek help from ur friends, or tutors outside the school.
Always do more practice for chemistry as there are quite a lot of calculations and theory which u gotta apply and understand.
I will be more than willing to help if there's anything you want to know :)
      Best of luck to you!
